ARTIST'S PROFILE

Sara was born in London in 1962 and moved to Cornwall at the age of sixteen. The natural beauty of Dartmoor and the North Cornish coast have both inspired and influenced the development of her work. Originally primarily a silversmith, Sara continues to produce pieces in silver, as well as Glass and Pewter. Sara's prize winning work at the V&A's Inspired by...Exhibition 2008 is the 'O' precious series of cast Glass Rings, Bangles and Caches.

I am an innovative jewellery designer / maker with an indomitable desire to produce quirky work which arrests attention and entices people to take a closer look. Intrigue is my desire.

My inspirations are from nature, but with a twist – nothing is quite as it seems.
My jewellery also extends to interiors – jewellery for the home – a house profits from adornment as synonymously as a body and scale does not form boundaries for me.
